🌿 Launching Above and Below 2025 at Ecofest
On Sunday 1 June, the Gladstone Healthy Harbour Partnership (GHHP) proudly launched the fifth edition of our annual environmental stewardship report, Above and Below, at Ecofest 2025 — the region’s biggest environmental celebration hosted by Gladstone Regional Council.
This year’s theme, End Plastic Pollution, provided the perfect backdrop to share stories of environmental action, collaboration, and innovation happening right across the Gladstone Harbour region.
📘 Above and Below: A Snapshot of Stewardship
Now in its fifth year, Above and Below is GHHP’s flagship publication, showcasing real-world projects that are improving the health of our harbour and surrounding environments.
The 2025 edition is our largest yet, spanning 40 pages and packed with stories from community groups, researchers, industry leaders, Traditional Owners, and passionate individuals who are making a difference.
From water quality testing and stormwater upgrades to seagrass nurseries and cultural monitoring, the report captures the diverse ways our Partners are contributing to a healthy, accessible, working harbour.

At the heart of Above and Below is GHHP’s unique partnership model. We are fortunate to work with 23 Partners representing community, industry, First Nations, research, and all levels of government. Their contributions — whether through funding, data, lived experience or project stories — are what bring the publication to life.
